Description
This Category II PPE has been subject to EU type-examination (module B) by the notified body Aitex No. 0161. Said body has issued certificate No. 21/4390/00/0161, which certifies compliance with the following harmonized standards:
> EN ISO 13688:2013
> EN ISO 11612:2015 (A1+A2, B1, C1, F1)
> EN 1149-5:2018
MODELO: CAMISETA K160 78689
This product has been manufactured in compliance with the requirements of EU Regulation 2016/425, for its basic use, according to the
standards EN ISO 13688:2013 (Protective clothing. General requirements), EN ISO 11612:2015 (Protective clothing against
heat and flame), EN 1149-5:2018 (Protective clothing with electrostatic properties), which are applicable to it,
as stated in certificate No. 21/4390/00/0161 issued by AITEX, Plaza Emilio Sala No. 1, Alcoi, Spain,
Notified Body 0161.
This PPE is made of navy blue knitted fabric, with a weight of 160 g/m² and a composition of 54%
Modacrylic, 44% Cotton, and 2% Antistatic Fiber
Performance levels according to EN ISO 11612:2015:
Limited flame spread: A1
· No destruction to the edges.
· There is no hole formation
· There is no fusion
· Post-glow time ≤ 2 s.
· Post-combustion time ≤ 2 s.
Limited flame spread: A2
· No destruction to the edges.
· There is no fusion
· Post-glow time ≤ 2 s.
· Post-combustion time ≤ 2 s.
Recommendations for use:
Indicated for industrial activities where the user is subjected to:
Brief contact with a small flame.
Convective heat with power less than or equal to 80 kW/m2.
Radiant heat sources of less than or equal to 20 kW/m².
Contact heat with surfaces at temperatures of 250 °C.
The achievement of the garment’s performance requires that the garment is properly closed.
closed.
Aprons must cover the front of the wearer’s body from side seam to side seam.
For full body protection, protective clothing must be worn in a closed state.
To counter electrostatic charges, the PPE must be in contact with the user’s skin to allow the
dissipation of charges. The resistance between the person and the ground must be less than 10⁸ Ω, for example,
by using appropriate antistatic footwear. If necessary, the user must be grounded.
The environmental conditions and risk of the workplace must be considered.
In the event of accidental splashing of chemical or flammable liquids onto clothing while being
worn, the user must immediately and carefully remove the garments, ensuring
that the chemical or liquid does not come into contact with any part of the skin. The clothing should be cleaned o
r removed from service.
Deviations from the parameters of this standard can be resolved under the most extreme conditions.
Achieving the performance of the garment requires that the garment is correctly
fitted.
Electrostatic dissipative protective clothing should not be used in oxygen-rich atmospheres, or
in zone 0, without prior approval from the responsible safety technician.
Electrostatic dissipative protective clothing is intended to be used in zones 1, 2, 20, 21, and 22, in
which the ignition energy is not less than 0.016 mJ.
Convective heat: B1 Radiant heat: C1
Contact heat: F1
Resistance to electrostatic charge accumulation according to EN 1149-3:2004
S > 0.2 ó t50 < 4 s
Recommendations against misuse:
This PPE should never be used against risks other than those previously described.
Poorly maintained garments can change the performance of the garment.
Soiled clothing can lead to reduced protection.
Dirt or melted debris adhering to the garment may impair the performance of the garment.
Do not remove the garment when in explosive or flammable atmospheres or during
the handling of explosive or flammable substances.
An increase in the oxygen content of the air can significantly reduce the flame protection
of the garment.
The electrical insulation of the garment may be reduced if the garment is wet, dirty, or
soaked in sweat.
When the garment consists of two pieces, the user must wear them together to achieve
the appropriate level of protection.
This garment does not protect the neck, hands and feet.
The garment should not be worn with other garments underneath that are non-flame retardant and/or made
of heat-fusible material.
Tears must not be repaired by the user, as a flammable thread or a potentially heat-reactive
piece that melts could be very dangerous in the event of a flame explosion.
Garments such as shirts, undergarments, or underwear that could melt under
arc explosions, made of polyamide, polyester, or acrylic fibers, should not be used.
Available sizes:
A – CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE [cm]
B – TOTAL HEIGHT [cm]
C – WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE [cm]
Washing recommendations:
Maximum washing temperature 40 ºC.
Bleaching is not allowed.
Ironing allowed at 150 ºC.
Dry cleaning allowed.
Tumble drying allowed.
Máx. 5x.
Storage: Store the garment avoiding unnecessary sun exposure and in dry places,
protected from any aggressive agent.
Packaging: Plastic bag.
The maximum number of washes specified is not the only factor on which the useful life
of the garment depends. The lifespan will also depend on the use of the PPE, maintenance, storage, etc.
